Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Department in defining the development policy for research within the Department.
- Promote and stimulate outreach activities, as outlined in the institution’s regulations, within the community.
- Facilitate the acquisition of resources that benefit the Department’s various activities and supplement the salaries of teaching and technical-administrative staff, as a way to attract and retain qualified personnel.
- Supervise the collection of applicable contributions for each activity, as defined in specific legislation.
- Establish, in accordance with current legislation, the routines for authorizing the engagement of Department personnel in outreach programs and consultancies.
- Disseminate and promote the Department’s established capacity in providing services and consultancies, in coordination with the Research and Internship Coordinators, the Teaching Committee, and the Laboratory Supervisors.
- Prepare a semi-annual report of developed activities and submit it to the Head of Department within the stipulated deadlines.
- Perform other functions assigned by the Head of EPS, the Representative Council, or the Department’s Full Collegiate Body (Article 44, Internal Regulations of DEPS).
